…and Beyond, you …
…and Beyond, you are absolutely right!! NONE of these people defending the current system can not say where in the Constitution does it say we MUST have a free market solution to socioeconomic problems? Instead they come back with irrelevant counter-questions and challenges. People without coverage shouldn’t be made to suffer because conservatives want to defend their dogmatic beliefs! USE WHAT WORKS, not what defends your dogma/beliefs!!!
Amen!! Too bad you …
Amen!! Too bad you can’t grab these ideological conservatives defending the current system up by their collars and shake them till THEY need health coverage. LOL. Their basing their position on socio-economic dogma, not practical need. It’s like they’re a slave to free market ideas and seek to defend it at all cost. Capitalism is supposed to be a tool to better society; these clowns have made the means the ends. Must be the worst kind of to be so ideologically intractable!
It is with relief …
It is with relief that I live in Europe and not in America.
It’s always easy …
It’s always easy for conservatives to tell others what THEY should do to validate their claim that the current system works (typical sanctimony/self-righetousness), which it clearly doesn’t. This isn’t about conservative vs. liberal ideology. Our companies are burdened with an outdated system which mandates them to help pay the most expensive health care system in the world while companies in other countries don’t have this burden (due to government subsidizing). The free market cannot solve all
It’s almost an …
It’s almost an insane conspiracy theory to believe that there aren’t 40-50 million people without health care coverage in America. , I know far more people (at least at 8 to 1 ratio) WITHOUT some form of health coverage, and I’ll wager most of those defending the current “system” know far more people without health coverage than those who have it, and if they don’t they aren’t living in the real world. There’s not enough “charity” to cover this gap.
Where does the …
Where does the Constitution say that the government has no interest in the welfare of the people? Other countries’ governments subsidize their health care systems, so companies in those countries don’t have to do so; those companies are not burdened with the high cost of health care coverage, but as usual, conservatives feel so obligated to defend the free market at all costs that they are short sighted. They cannot see it in the national interest to have universal health care.

you are talking …
you are talking why do people become doctors in Cuba etc. there are also no money.
anyway about 60% of the U.S. health care system is already publicly financed with federal and state taxes.
Thomas I don’t …
Thomas I don’t blame you for not wanting government in your business but the problem is the greed of human beings has proven to fail …. look at wall street , the banks , the Oil companies…there has to be government regulations or your freedom as you know it is gonna fail simply because our economy is going to collapse right in front of our eyes… then what jobs are you gonna get? Health insurance companies will DENY you care to save money .. it doesn’t work!!! don’t be fooled
You just don’t get …
You just don’t get it do you … My Uncle owns a business that has over 50 employees and he cant afford to stay in business and pay for there medical … his health insurance alone is over 1,000 a month for his premium … I can name 3 of my close friends who work 60 hours a week but have NO health care from there employer… so basically what your saying is leave people behind it’s ok … so my friends are -ups as you put it… your outta touch dude … totally outta touch …
BeyondTheSpectrum08 …
BeyondTheSpectrum08,
Typical Obama voter,
Quote where there constitution guarantees a public education? It doesn’t, public schools are simply liberal indoctrination camps.
Public Schools, Social Security, Welfare are all socialist Democratic programs that have failed…
Those hard working …
Those hard working Americans can get a second job if that’s what it takes to get insurance, health care is not a right, it’s a commodity. Thats the amazing thing about freedom, you have the freedom to succeed but you also have the freedom to fail, i’m sorry liberals but there are winners and losers in life, don’t count on my money to bail them out, i’ve done all the right things and saved, i’m not paying for the -ups
Funkyflights,
I …
Funkyflights,
I don’t look to nor want the gov’t to take care of me, every man makes his own way, it’s not my problem if others can’t afford Health Insurance, the poor elderly already have SSI and medicare and poor children can be on welfare so the most needy are taken care of, I do not belive in grown azz people looking to be taken care of by the gubbmint with Section 8, free cheese or healthcare. Adults can get 5 jobs if they need to, you don’t burden others with your problems…
LOL … so hard …
LOL … so hard working Americans with no health care are losers?? LOL …. I hope someday you lose your health care or have and insurance company deny you care so you can say …. OOOPS insurance companies suck!! ….so I guess these don’t work … Fire department , Police department , public library, “SOCIAL SECURITY”… when it comes to health care it will work … your being fooled by the press and the insurance companies who want you to think it wont work… “HR676″ needs to get passed
There is nothing …
There is nothing that comes FREE, the working class will pay more in taxes to stand in line for days at public health centers, why is it that the upper middle classs and rich in Canada come to the U.S. for treatment? Why has canada lost so many doctors in their national healthcare system, if you take away the money, ppl won’t become doctors… Socialism doesn’t work
This is a joke, so …
This is a joke, so i’m gonna have to pay extra taxes to insure the losers in society, then i’ll have to purchase another private policy for my family and myself because we won’t stand in the long lines. I do photog work part time which gets me roughly 40k extra per year, that business will soon be going over to “Cash Only”, there will be many professionals doing this, hardworking ppl will simply refuse to pay for the losers of society. Healthcare is NOT a right….
The only reason …
The only reason conservatives can get away with calling the idea of Universal Health Care “Socialism” is because there were no Americans enlightened enough to engrain the ideas of free health care into our heads during the founding of the nation. If they had, this wouldn’t even be an issue because the idea would be just as much a part of the way we did things as our notion of free public (and compulsory) education.

This guy is right. …
This guy is right. Business discriminates against old people because they have high medical costs. The same is true of disabled people, pregnant women etc. If we had Universal Health Care huge groups of people could find gainful employment where now they can’t.
looking like a fool …
looking like a fool ? dude insurance companies are denying claims…there not covering people with pre existing conditions but yet you sit up in here all high and mighty acting like it’s OK … only head up anyone’s is yourself … people are ready for change and republican dooshbags like yourself are hopeless to stop it … take care
Dude, people are …
Dude, people are dying in masses from UHC in Britain and France. 15,000 people died in France back in 2003 from a standard issue *heatwave* because the mismanagment of their “luxurious” hospitals.
You keep repeating the same overly generalized sensationalistic mantra about the “evil corporations.” You come off looking like a fool.
I’m done wasting my time with someone whose head it stuck so far up his he can’t open his mind to opinions that experts have on that matter.
Take care.
dude people are …
dude people are dying in this country from this failed health care policy … your a pink slip away from not having health care yourself .. we need to regulate these hospitals and insurance companies from owning the market and charging whatever they want … just like the oil companies , just like wall street , it’s too important to let someone OWN the market .. lives depend on it .. even if it’s not FREE lets make it available to everyone.. with NO DISCRIMINATION …
(cont.)In normal …
(cont.)In normal rational circles it’s dismissed as crazy talk. You have a right to your life, freedom of speech, etc.
Commodity is commodity, not something taht should be handed out to you unconditionally.
It’s a basic foundamental principle of economics. Something Leftist loonies have no grasp on.
I was born and …
I was born and raised in Europe and the middle east. So with all due respect to your relatives telling you bedtime stories about their experience, you kept living as a priviledged first world country resident all your life (while complaining about it, mind you.The hypocrisy is benumbing)
It is most certainly not a “right”. Only your knee jerk socialist friends can make that claim.
First I don’t care …
First I don’t care what you say because I’ve researched it … your word is not the final word on that number … second … My father , Uncle and grandparents were born in England and I have generations from there … health care is a right for all citizens and they would have it NO OTHER WAY … if they tried to allow insurance companies to control the market they would riot in the streets … man you have to admit our current system is failing … don’t you see that ?
Keep on “LOL”ing, …
Keep on “LOL”ing, buddy. You’ll need a good sense of humor to blanket the grim outcome that will come of UHC implimentation.
BTW, have you actually lived long enough in Europe to speak of how “everyone LOVES their service?”
Just wondering…
