My ex and I are going back to family court because I now provide the health insurance for our daughter (as of September). My ex was laid off back at the end of May and for 3 months my daughter has not had any health insurance. However, the child support he pays is deducted because I “pay” half her insurance (the amount is deducted from the amount I receive). Am I allowed back support because I have been paying half her insurance that she didn’t have the past 3 months?

my suggesting would be getting as much information as you can before taking any action, here http://www.healthinsurance-onlinetips.info is a good place for that
purpose.
